Tivoli Gardens, the historic amusement park in Copenhagen

Tivoli Gardens, regarded as one of Denmark's most popular and best-loved attractions, is a glittering amusement park in central Copenhagen. This is the oldest park in the world, just after the Dyrehavsbakken located within the Klampenborg deer park. Founded in 1843, it still preserves the elements of the historic structures of the time intact, a simply unique playground capable of enchanting young and old.

The Tivoli Gardens are an authentic oasis of entertainment that contains over forty attractions including rides, roller coasters, and adrenaline-pumping past times of all kinds. Do not miss the famous Ferris wheel dating back to 1943 where you can admire the panorama of the entire city. During the Christmas holidays, the park hosts one of the most visited Christmas markets in the country where, among decorations, sparkling lights and fantastic fireworks, more than 60 exhibitors will allow you to taste the typical sweets and the many culinary delicacies of the Danish tradition. Do not miss the spectacular New Year's fireworks display.

All of the huge energy consumption used by Copenhagen's Tivoli comes from renewable sources. Each of its attractions is powered by wind turbines from Dong Energy's Advedore park, managing to cut CO2 emissions and as part of Copenhagen City Council's energy reduction program.

The park is located a short walk from the city's central station and can easily be reached on foot. For any information and further details: Tivoli Gardens
